For more than 60 years, the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) has applied science and technology to make the world a safer place.

We have an opening for a Post College Appointee (PCA) to support the design and production of business analytics tools.  This position is in the Infrastructure and Operations Program within the Weapons and Complex Integration Directorate.
 
Essential Duties
- Work closely with a team of program/resource managers and computer scientists to design and productionize business analytics tools.
- Analyze project/program performance and projection data as directed by program staff.
- Support program review and reporting functions.
- Support staffing plan development as directed by resource and business staff.
- Develop familiarity with NNSA and weapons program planning processes.
- Present informal progress reports to mentor and research team on a regular basis.
- Present results to Weapon Infrastructure Program Office.
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers to accomplish research goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications
- Recent Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or related field.
- Demonstrate proficient verbal and written communication skills necessary to effectively collaborate in a team environment to document analyses.
- Ability to contribute as part of a multidisciplinary research team and possess experience performing research.
- Experience with various scripting languages.
- Experience working independently with general direction and demonstrated ability to establish own work priorities and to execute assignments, meeting time-sensitive deadlines and working on multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience applying analytical skills to research, interpret, analyze, compile, and present business data and information. 
- Experience working with business tools such as Tableau.
 

Pre-Employment Drug Test:  External applicant(s) selected for this position will be required to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test.
 

Security Clearance:  This position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance.

If you are selected, we will initiate a Federal background investigation to determine if you meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. In addition, all L or Q cleared employees are subject to random drug testing.  Q-level clearance requires U.S. citizenship.  If you hold multiple citizenships (U.S. and another country), you may be required to renounce your non-U.S. citizenship before a DOE L or Q clearance will be processed/granted.

Note: This is a one-year Post College Appointee with the possibility of extension to a maximum of two years. Eligible candidates are recent graduates within two years of the month of their degree at the time of the employment offer.
