For more than 60 years, the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) has applied science and technology to make the world a safer place.

We have an opening for an undergraduate student or recent graduate to engage in practical experience to further their educational goals. You will provide entry to mid-level administrative support to the Defense Technologies Engineering Division (DTED) and the administrative team. This position is in the DTED supporting the Weapons and Complex Integration (WCI) Principal Directorate. 

Essential Duties
At the Undergraduate and Recent Grad Level (Non-Exempt):
- Work alongside administrative staff to provide support to the DTED summer interns and the onboarding process.
- With guidance, compose correspondence for staff, as well as prepare, type, edit, format, and finalize presentation materials.
- Assist administrative staff with various projects and activities.
- Identify and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Establish and maintain working electronic files.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

At the Undergraduate and Recent Grad Level (Non-Exempt):
- Must be a continuing college or university student in good standing at an accredited institution pursuing an undergraduate degree or recent graduate within one year in business administration, criminal justice, or related field.
- Ability to apply basic administrative experience to understand related problems.
- Experience working with personal computers and familiarity with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills and work in a team.
- Experience providing administrative support in a fast-paced environment.

Anticipated Clearance Level:  None.


Note:   This is a Temporary Student Intern appointment.  This assignment is for a full-time position during the summer academic break; a co-op position, full-time during the academic semester/quarter, or a year-round part-time position during the academic year and full time during academic breaks.)
